Travel Diary #35 : There was a 50% chance that I wouldn't enter this country
Salam Alekum !
What a clickbait title, I know…😏
After 2 PCR tests, 3 mental breakdowns, hours of waiting at the airport and the borders shutting down the day I was leaving… I MADE IT TO MAROCCO ! 🇲🇦
But before I talk more about that, here are my last pictures of Cadiz, Spain. I had a big crush on that town an I hope coming back one day.
As often, your attachment to a place is very much linked to the people you meet there.
Just before leaving, I assisted to the best concert I could dream for (you’ll see more about that in a video coming soon). If you like flamenco, you’re gonna love that :
Monday 29th of November, I was leaving Cadiz to Seville to catch my flight to Marocco.
On the way to the airport, the Moroccan government announced the news: the country is closing its borders for 2 weeks.
Fortunately, I was one of the last people to enter the country for the next 2 weeks (more likely 2 months). I spent 2 days in Tamraght (near Agadir) before leaving for another town. I will tell you more about that in the next article !
Wafae is one of my host here, I’m so lucky she was there to show me around.
