Travel Diary #31 : Back on the road

👋🏼 Heyoooo ! I’m back on the blog !

After one year locked down in my small Paris apartment, it’s time to get back on the road. I packed my faithful 50L backpack and didn’t wait to have a plan to book a ticket to… anywhere.

I’ve always had an attraction to Spain. No, I’ve always wanted to speak Spanish. However, I’m still not able to order a Sangria alone after 8 years of studying it in school. That's all it took to decide that Spain would be my first stop.

The initial plan was to spend a few days in Barcelona, but what I love about backpacking is that you never really follow the initial plan. A call with a friend, a crush for a remote island, a pandemic… anything is a good reason to change the plan.

Actually, my real plan A was to go back to Indonesia. I don’t have to explain to you why this has been compromised.

Anyways, when my friend Ali convinced me that València was way cooler than la ciudad de Gaudí, I trusted her. Two weeks later, we were on our way to Spain ! 💃🏼

After 4 days in València, I’m now travelling alone to a new destination in the south of Spain… See you in the next article ! 👋🏼
