Travel Diary #32 : Volunteer in a coliving space 👩🏼‍💻

HolĂ  !

Today I’m writing from a small town lost in the heart of a national park (Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche) in Andalusia : Aracena. I’m here for 3 weeks as a volunteer in a coliving space hosting digital nomads and freelancers.

As I’m only working in the mornings, I have plenty of time left to explore the region while enjoying the resistant sun of southern Spain!

Here is my house for 3 weeks :

I live with people from 3 different continents so, unfortunately, we mostly speak English in the house. I’ll improve my Spanish later !

Imane, my host, cooks delicious traditional maroccan food for us :

Last week-end, we visited a local (hippie) market in a small village nearby, Las Chinas :

Let me introduce you to my 2 roommates :

All the villages of the area look similar : small white houses, traditional brick buildings, stone-paved paths and Spanish flags flying proudly from the balconies.

The week-end ended with a hike ans spectacular view of La Sierra de Aracena

On our way back, we stopped in Almonaster La Real for tapas and a nice sunset to end the day :
